Bread Machine EASY BREAD RING - 52 Grilling Time Secret Extras

This is my very favorite way to serve up a Pulled Pork sandwich.  A BEAUTIFUL presentation combined with my favorite ingredients.  In this case some fantastic Tropical Island Lover's Broccoli Slaw(see yesterday's post)  and long Dill Pickle Slices.

The look is always a crowd stopping gasping presentation and yet is amazingly easy to do.  Using a bread machine on the "Dough" setting, the machine does all the work.  No need to worry about rising time, proper temps for the yeast, etc.  The machine does the hard work.  Then you just form the ring, allow for a quick rise and bake away to legendary "That Backyard Grilling Guy" (or Gal)!

Serve up a sandwich with this ring and you will be the true master of your domain (the back yard BBQ)!

BTW... here's the recipe for this colorful Tropical Mango and Pineapple Broccoli Slaw recipe shown (Just double click the blue letters).  And here's a recipe for Root Beer Sweet and Spicy CROCK POT EASY Pulled Pork.

 OK... Here's what I did...

Bread Machine
EASY BREAD RING

Ingredients
  • 1 Cup WARM (BUT NOT HOT) water, (about 100 degrees, no warmer than 125)
  • 2 TBS Butter (Softened to room temperature)
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 3-1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 packet (a little over 2 tsp) Bread Machine Yeast
  • 1 TBS Your Favorite Spice Rub (McCormicks Salad Sprinkle works great) Mix
Cooking Directions
  1. Instead of making buns, I made a long tube and formed a circle... a Bread Wreath/Ring
  2. Set your bread machine selection to - DOUGH. Add all of the ingredients to the box in the order listed and let the machine run it's full cycle. After an hour and a half you have bread dough.
  3. Prepare a large cookie sheet with parchment paper (or a silipat non stick mat).
  4. When the dough cycle has run, remove dough (being sure to NOT remove the little flywheel doohickey in the bottom of the box). Knead for a few minutes and form into a Loooong Tube shape. Arrange on the cookie sheet in the form of a circle, being sure that the circle is even all the way around. Close the end, again trying to make sure that this joint is the same thickness as the rest of the circle.
  5. Set a small oven safe bowl upside down l in the center to keep the circle from rising into the center.
  6. Allow the dough to rise for 30 minutes, covered in a warm section of the kitchen.
  7. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  8. Bake the bread ring for 25 minutes.
  9. Allow to cool completely before slicing. Carefully slice the ring so each half stays intact. In order to get a lot of sandwich stuffing into the sandwich, hollow out the top section being careful to not break the ring.
  10. Stuff with sandwich goodies, slice, arrange attractively on a large square serving platter and ENJOY!
