Waldorf Salad Style COLE SLAW - BBQ and Grilling Time Secret Extras Catering Side Dish Recipes

The bagged Cole Slaw...

Cheap, Easy and ... Well, cheap and easy.

In order to get my favorite BIG THREE... Cheap easy and tasty, the bagged cole slaw needs an upgrade.  It's actually pretty easy to do.  There are dozens of varieties.  Here's one of my favorites...

The Waldorf Salad is a classic.  Created in the 1800's in the famous New York City hotel.  It has gone through dozens of variations over the years both at the Waldorf and among NYC chefs trying to add their touch.  The current basic recipe calls for chopped lettuce, walnuts, apples and celery with a mayonnaise dressing.

Sounds tasty and has survived over the years as a favorite side salad or even main course.

And makes a very simple cole slaw upgrade!  Lots of little extras that make this a winner!

Will stand out as something special at your backyard BBQ (tastes great on a pulled pork sandwich), big family gathering, Holiday meal, neighborhood PotLuck or Church Social.  It's even one of my favorites to serve up for a Catering event.

Cheap, Easy and Delicious... What more can you ask for???

OK... Here's what I did...
